Create unlimited templates for journaling, weekly reviews, faster task creation, …
Templates are a great way to help create tasks in beorg.
You can create two templates in beorg without the need for this extension.
To access templates you've already created or to create a new template, swipe up on the "Add Item" button on the Agenda, Tasks, or Files tabs.
A template allows you to define the following defaults for a new item:
- The file it is saved to
- If the item is added at the start or end of the file
- The state, e.g. TODO
- Priority
- When the item should be scheduled for
- The deadline for the item
- The "Show On" date for the item
- Any tags which should be added to the item
- The headline text
- Notes
- Whether the user should be shown the notes editor immediately when creating the item
- Where to add the item in the file. The subtree items can include some simple macros, for example a date for easy filing of items into a year, month, day hierarchy
- Which UI elements to show in the item editor
One template can be set as a default by tapping the star at the top of the Edit Template screen. This template will then be used whenever you tap the + button to add a new item.
Templates can also be used in the beorg share extension when adding items to beorg from other apps.
